It has been brought to our attention that some local water authorities have recently changed how they will be handling backflow preventer submissions. Beaver Falls Municipal Authority (BFMA) will be transitioning to Aqua America Incorporated (AA). Pennsylvania American Water Company (PAW) will change their backflow submission process beginning December 1st, 2021. Backflow Solutions Incorporated (BSI) will now be handling backflow reports for PAW.
Previously, you, the customers would receive paperwork from BFMA, PAW, or other water authority and give it to the technician on-site or email it to our office to be filled out and submitted via email to BFMA, PAW, or other water authority. If AA and BSI are your current water provider, they will be sending you paperwork with a specific Hazard Number (for AA customers) or Customer Confirmation Number (CCN) (for BSI customers) that will be required to submit the backflow results to their online portals.
It will be the testing companies’ responsibility (FFSSC) to submit the backflow preventer results to Aqua Tokay Test and BSI Online websites. Both require a processing fee for each backflow preventer that is submitted on their websites. Please be advised that you will be receiving an additional charge(s) on your invoice moving forward that will be categorized as a 3rd party backflow submission fee when these tests are performed.
